Faith in Action: Practical Application for Applying the Word of God to Your Life
In the world of business, action items have start and end dates and benchmarks that must be met to complete the overall project plan. Your action items may even depend on the progress of someone else. But spiritually speaking, the end date of your action items is a minor detail. The most important thing is the start date. Your start date begins immediately after you get the action item(s). Why? So nothing gets in the way of your progress; to stop using excuses as a crutch. How many times have you restarted a bible plan, a workout routine, a daily journal, etc.? Your action items depend on YOU. To quote Pastor Curtis, “you will not impress God by hearing only. You have to hear and obey His word.” Remember, an action item is defined as “a documented event, task, activity, or action that NEEDS to take place.
Here are 2 more action items to add to your list from last week:
- When you come to church, you come to meet God.
- Let God transform your heart.
